► What's at Stake: Will it be the Toby Gerhart show? The Cardinal running back led the nation with 1,736 yards rushing and 26 rushing touchdowns, finishing a close second in the balloting for the Heisman Trophy. Oklahoma, led by defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, ranked seventh nationally in rushing defense, allowing 88.6 yards per game. The Sooners are eager to finish with a bowl victory after losing five regular-season games for the first time in 11 years under coach Bob Stoops.
► Key Matchup: Gerhart vs. Oklahoma linebacker Travis Lewis, who led the Sooners with 100 tackles, including 55 solo and nine for losses. Gerhart averages 144.6 yards rushing per game. Credit for Stanford's rushing success (224.3 yards per game) also goes to the offensive line, dubbed "The Tunnel Workers Union," which includes two redshirt freshmen starters in center David DeCastro and tackle Jonathan Martin.
